Malene Thostrup Pedersen

Malene Thostrup Pedersen obtained her Degree in Chemical Engineering in 2014 at Aalborg University. She got her PhD in Nanoscience from Aarhus University in 2018 with a thesis titled: “Characterization pf Ye’elimite and Calcium Sulfoaluminate Cement incorporating Calcined Clays”. She moved to Empa in 2018 and worked as a postdoc for three years. Her work at Empa focused on hydration of cementitious systems, use of alternative slags as SCM, and structural studies of glasses. In 2021, Malene moved to NTNU where she is working as a postdoc, focusing on durability of concrete exposed to seawater.
