Hong Wong is a Professor of Concrete Materials in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London. He has over 20 years of experience in cement and concrete research, focusing on characterising microstructure, understanding mass transport processes to assess long-term durability, and developing more sustainable cementitious materials. He has authored > 80 journal publications in these areas, with a Scopus h-index of 40. He serves on the Editorial Board of various international journals and Scientific Committees of several networks, notably Innovandi: the Global Cement and Concrete Research Network. At Imperial, Hong is the Lab Director of the Centre for Infrastructure Materials and the Course Director of the Advanced Materials for Sustainable Materials MSc programme. He teaches modules on cementitious materials, concrete materials, and structural mechanics.
