Sumesh Erikandath completed his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Chemistry in 2008 from the University of Calicut and the University of Madras respectively. He then worked as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras for 2 years, where he and his co-authors developed a novel material based on nanotechnology for water-purification. After being worked briefly as a tutor in Chemistry for senior school students, he joined the ACC Cement company (previously Lafarge-Holcim group) in 2012 as an Assistant Manager at their head Quality and Product Development department and worked there for 5 years. In 2017, he moved to Ireland to earn a second Master’s degree in Material Sciences (MSc NanoBioscience) from the University College Dublin. He joined Kingspan in 2019 as an Inorganic Research and Development Chemist at their head Innovation centre in Ireland. During his entire career, he has 3 publications in his name (two journal and one conference publication). He has also attended several trainings related to the science and technology of cement and raw materials and has a certification in sustainability too.
